About us

our core beliefs

GOD
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. There is one God in three persons.
(Genesis 1:1,26,27; Psalm 90:2; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28:19)
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven's glory and will return to earth again to claim His own and take them to heaven.
(Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13)
HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides Christians with the power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. We seek to live under His control daily.
(2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13-14; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:18; 5:18; Romans 5:5)
BIBLE
The Bible is God's Word to all people, written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. The Bible is infallible, inerrant, and absolute truth.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; 3:16; Psalm 12:6; 119:105, 160; Proverbs 30:5)
PEOPLE
People are made in the spiritual image of God to be like him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although people have tremendous potential for good, they have disobeyed God and are under the penalty of sin. Mankind is separated from God.
(Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2)
SALVATION
Salvation is by grace, through faith. It is a gift from God to all people who will accept it. We can never make up for our sins by self-improvement or good works. We are saved from sin's penalty by trusting in Jesus Christ and his sacrifice as God’s offer of forgiveness. The following acts of faith bring a person into a personal relationship with Christ: Faith, Repentance, Confession, Baptism (immersion) and a life of obedience to Christ.
(Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; 14:6; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 3:21,22)

CHURCH

The church is the body of Christ on earth of which Jesus Christ is the head. It exists to communicate the good news of Jesus Christ to the world, to teach his followers to obey his teachings, and to equip his followers for ministry.

(1 Corinthians 12:27; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:10; Ephesians 4:11-14; Acts 2:38)

Worship & Praise Leaders

Drue is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University, and has been the lead pastor at RCC since 2010. He and his wife Heather are the parents of 4 children, Juanita, Makenna, Hayley and Nate. Drue's favorite verse is 1 John 4:9. His favorite thing about RCC is the "authentic nature of the people".

Caanan and Jaycee  Lawrence are serving @ RCC as worship leaders. Each week they lead us in several unique styles that all prepare us to receive the Word that follows. Both have backgrounds in rural churches, so they do a great job with our blended music style. They have two children - daughter Eden and son Israel. We are blessed to have them share their gifts with us each week.
